Michael Westen can be a scary guy. You don't stay one step ahead of the FBI without learning a few tricks that require less-than-perfect ethics. On 'Burn Notice' (Thursdays, 10PM on USA), Westen used his training to convince pharmaceutical magnate James Forte he was an unstable stalker to help his friends Fiona Glennane and Same Axe get access to the company.
Forte had hired Glennane and Axe to find out if someone had been breaking into his house. They learned the guy doing the breaking in was the rightful owner of Forte's company. That's when they brought in Westen, who wasted no time cornering Forte in his car. As Forte sat horrified, Westen told him about how much he had studied ways to hurt people. "It's scary really how much you can learn when you put your mind to it," he said, not blinking. "You know what else is scary? How life can be so fragile."Westen then pulled out a switch and blew up a car near Forte's in the parking garage. "Oh my god, what are you doing?" Forte said."I'm teaching," said Westen. "I'm teaching you what I've learned. How unfair life can be." One more click, and one more car exploded. By the time Westen was done, the parking garage was littered with flaming wrecks, and Forte was ready to give him anything he wanted.
